Queen Elizabeth’s country house will become a cinema in one weekend

Queen Elizabeth became more creative during the coronavirus pandemic and invited guests to participate in a new social event in her country house, Sandringham. This spacious manor usually provides accommodation for members of the royal family during their vacation. Movies will be launched this month, including movies enjoyed by people of all ages.

The manor’s official website explained that parking spaces will be allocated to ticket holders on a first-come, first-served basis. Each location will provide enough space and distance between vehicles, so as long as the guests stay in the designated area, they can sit outside or stand outside. For those who forget to watch movies and snacks at home, different food suppliers take turns to the scene every day.

The three-day movie scheduled to start on September 25 includes “1917”, “Rocket Player”, “The Greatest Performer”, “Moana”, “Bohemian Rhapsody”, “One Star” Born” and so on. The event starts at £32.50 (approximately US$42) per car, and moviegoers can squander premium tickets (about US$10 more) for larger parking spaces, chairs, tables and popcorn. The movie time is 1pm, 5pm and 9pm.

According to Architectural Digest, a Buckingham Palace press release stated that Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip will visit Sandringham in the second half of September. Although they may be at the scene, they are unlikely to show up when driving in.

Other fall and winter activities arranged in Sandringham include apple picking in the manor orchard, walking around the property at night (which will be illuminated by a special light display), and a Christmas market with food, crafts and gifts. Sandringham Manor is located in Norfolk, about 100 miles north of London.
